Getting started

Three ways to schedule

Pick the path that fits your situation. Not sure which one? Call us at (281) 565-1009 and we'll point you in the right direction.

1

Office visit

See a physician first to discuss symptoms, review your history and build a plan. Best if something new is going on or you're not sure what you need.

2 Most popular

Direct access procedure

Healthy and due for a screening colonoscopy? Skip the office visit and go straight to scheduling. Answer a short questionnaire and we'll confirm you're a fit.

3

Self-pay

No insurance? We offer transparent self-pay pricing, plus CareCredit financing and HSA payment options so cost doesn't delay your care.

What we treat

Complete gastroenterology & liver care

From routine screening to complex digestive disease — we address your concerns with proven skill, a large volume of experience and total dedication to excellence.

Screening saves lives

Turning 45? It's time for your first colonoscopy.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers there is — when it's caught early. Guidelines now recommend screening beginning at age 45 for people at average risk, and earlier if you have a family history or symptoms. A colonoscopy doesn't just detect cancer; it removes the polyps that turn into it.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

At what age should I get my first colonoscopy?

Current guidelines recommend that people at average risk begin colorectal cancer screening at age 45. If you have a family history of colon cancer or polyps, inflammatory bowel disease, or symptoms such as rectal bleeding or a change in bowel habits, you may need to start earlier. Call us at (281) 565-1009 and we can advise you.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

Most patients can schedule directly with us without a referral. Some insurance plans — particularly HMOs — require a referral from your primary care physician. If you're not sure, call our office and we'll check your plan's requirements before your appointment.

What is a "direct access" colonoscopy?

Direct access lets healthy patients who are due for routine screening schedule a colonoscopy without a preliminary office visit. You complete a short health questionnaire, and if your answers indicate you're an appropriate candidate, we schedule the procedure. Depending on your responses, an office visit may still be required.

Do you offer appointments outside normal business hours?

Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Saturday procedure appointments are available by request — ask when you schedule.

What if I don't have insurance?

We welcome self-pay patients and offer transparent pricing. We also accept HSA/FSA funds and CareCredit financing so that cost doesn't stand between you and the care you need. Start with our self-pay appointment request, or call the office to discuss options.

Which hospitals and facilities do your physicians use?

Our physicians perform endoscopy, colonoscopy and related procedures at Houston-area hospitals and ambulatory facilities, including Houston Methodist Sugar Land. Your care team will confirm your procedure location when scheduling.
